Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival is one things that We look forward to all year long. It is always exciting to see all the people dressed up and eat the great food.

The Turkey leg was one of Tyler's favorite things to chew on.

 

O and La La Is one of our favorite shows to see.

 

Tyler loved watching the Jousting Tournament.

  

 

After a big day full of fun events it was time to head home.

 

 

 

Tyler Had so much fun at the Festival that it only took him 5 minutes to fall asleep in the car on the way back home.

Day Out With Thomas

9/17/11

Thomas only comes to Strasburg PA Railroad 3 times a year for 9 days at a time. It just so happened that Thomas was going to be at the railroad during Tyler's birthday.What Luck! Funny thing is you have to pay for anyone 2 and older. But because we went the day before Tyler's Birthday he was free! We had a blast riding on Thomas and all the fun little rides they had.

When we finally made it to the railroad Tyler saw all trains and the day of choo choo Talk began. I swear that for the first hour we were there choo choo was the only thing he could say.

 

The first ride we found was a little coin operated Thomas. Tyler had a hard time waiting his turn to ride and then after his ride was done… he did not want to get off.       

 

         

After we were done with our ride on Thomas we headed over to get our picture taken with Thomas.  Thomas is only in the station for 10 min. at a time so there was a line to take our pictures. Tyler does not like to wait in line and found other things to do to occupy his time.

 

While waiting for Thomas to come back to the station the dinning car comes in and picks up people to go for a ride.

Finally… Thomas is back in the station and we can get our picture taken.  

But Tyler did not want to have his picture taken with Thomas… He wanted to get on Thomas and play. This was one of the best pictures we got because Tyler was actually looking forward.

 

After the pictures with Thomas we went on the Cagney Ride. Aunt Emily called them the Hay less Hayrides.

  

 

Next we went to wait in line to take pictures with Sir Thopham Hatt. 

After taking some pictures with Sir Topham Hatt we got some lunch and headed over to a big white tent to eat. There was a man there who had a stage full of musical toys.

He also invited people to come up on stage to play and sing with him. Here is Tyler trying to sing “She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain” with the audience band.

    

 

This was pretty Cool… Thomas made out of Legos!

 

The Last Ride of The Day…

 

Towards the end of our Day out with Thomas it started to rain. On the way out of the parking lot there was a big line of carts full of pumpkins. We picked out 3 big pumpkins $2 each and headed home.

Tyler was out in less than 2 minutes.
